NCOC Course Day 2 (31/5/14)

Below are the details for NCOC Course Day 2. Sorry for the late post.

Date: 31 May 2014
Venue: Deyi Secondary School
First Parade: 0800
Reporting attire: Full uniform

Instruction for trainees:
1. Booking in and booking out attire is half uniform without headdress
2. Bring the following:

  • Writing materials
  • 1.5litre water bottle
  • Student pass
  • Money for lunch
  • PT Kit (Corp tee + ANDSS PE Pants + School/Sports Shoes with Black socks)
3. Uniform is to be up to standard at all times when worn
4. During the course, remember to switch off the classroom lights and fans when the last person leaves the classroom
5. Request to join the Facebook group "SJAB Zone 3 NCOC" from Tuesday onwards in order to have access to course instructions and course notes
6. Trainees are advised to take good care of their health, have at least 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep, hydrate frequently and prepare adequately throughout the course.

KOTO Test Passes

Dear cadets who set for the KOTO test yesterday, below are the passes for the test:

  3. Chan Wei Ting
  4. Muhammad Zulhilmi
  5. Thang Yu Pin
  6. Toh Jia Hui
The highest is Xander with 76/100. The next re-test is on term 3 week 10, probably on Monday. Please study for it. Thanks

Sec ones please study hard for your citizenship test tomorrow, the duration will be forty-five minutes.

Health Ambassadors (all Sec 1s) and Civil Defence Course (all Sec 1s and selected Sec 2s and 3s)

Dear Sec 1 and selected cadets from other levels,

This is to confirmed that we have successfully registered you for the following CPBS courses during the June holidays:

1. Health Ambassadors CPBS Course (New SJAB course launched this year)
Students Involved: All Sec 1s
Date: 3 June 2014 (Tuesday)
Time: 7.50am to 4pm
Venue: Health Promotion Board opposite Outram Road MRT (next to General Hospital)
Meeting Place: Anderson Sec School Porch at 7.50am
Dismissal Place: Health Promotion Board (It is a one way bus trip as end time can be delayed or be earlier).
Cost: $1.50 (Please pay the YA first GM after exams 21 May).

2. Civil Defence CPBS Course
Students Involved: All Sec 1s, Zulhilmi and Mandy
Date: 10 June 2014 (Tuesday)
Time: 7.50am to 5pm
Venue: Bukit Batok Fire Station
Meeting Place: Anderson Sec School Porch at 7.50am
Dismissal Place: Anderson Sec School (2 way bus trip is provided). Course will end 4 plus so they will reach school around 5pm.
Cost: Free

Please keep the 2 days free as you have to wait another year if you miss the course this round. Attendance is compulsory as these badges are part of the 12 badges you need to qualify for the Chief Commissioners Badge in Sec 4 (5 CCA points).

Consent forms will be issued.

KOTO Re-Test 26 May 2014 2.50pm to 3.30pm in And.Art

Dear Sec 2s and 3s who failed the KOTO Test in March,

Please sit for the Re-Test on Week 10 26 May Monday 2.50pm to 3.30pm. The venue will be And.Art Computer lab, next to 2/1 classroom. Please meet at the computer lab punctually at 2.50pm. Unfortunately this is the only day available as you are down for Sabbatical the other 4 days.

Please also remember to study for it cause it is one of the 12 compulsory badges for Commissioner and Chief Commissioner Badge. For students who have lost the notes, the soft copy is available in the SJAB blog documents folder at the top left side. You just need to click on it and download the pdf file. You can then save on your phone to study.

You can pay the test fee of $1 to the YA heads when CCA resume on 21 May. Thank you
