Update on SJAB Day & Monday's GM

Dear cadets,

St John Day is traditionally celebrated on the first Wednesday of Term 3, however due to the fact that Wednesday will have no assembly because of CI period, this year's St John Day will be pushed to Thursday (3/7/2014).

Hence, please note that St John Day will not be on Tuesday anymore due to NCC Day and as such St John Day will be changed to Thursday.

Lastly, Monday's GM will end at 5 PM so take note of that.

Monday GM (30/6/2014)

Dear cadets, here are the details for Monday's GM

Reporting Time : 2.30 PM
Attire : Half Uniform with Name Tag, Beret and Belt (Drill Order)
Things to bring : Full Uniform and Boots

Please ensure that all your CPBS badges are pinned onto your uniform as there will be an inspection

National Competition Zone Organised Comp Training Sunday 29 Jun

Dear Cadets involved in the National Competition,

The adult zone officers have kindly volunteered to take time off their weekends to prepare you for the National Competition on 13 July 2014. There will be trainings on the following dates:

29 June 2014 (Sunday) 10am to 5pm
5 July 2014 (Saturday) 10am to 5pm
6 July 2014 (Sunday) 10am to 5pm

The venue will be in SJAB HQ. The attire will be drill order with white SJAB T shirt. Please bring along your first aid manual, water bottle, money for lunch and writing manuals. Attendance is compulsory.

Please also take note of the following instructions from HQ:

• All 5 members of the original team must take part in the competition. Any change of members would require prior approval from the Zone department.
• If the team is unwilling to participate in the Nat Com 2014, the team will forfeit their winning in the Zone competition, as reflected in the rules and regulations for Zone FACom 2014.
• If the Zone training department deem the members unfit to participate in NatCom, an alternative team from another school would be chosen to represent the Zone instead.

Term 3 Week 1 Special Monday GM (30/6/2014)

Dear Cadets,


There will be a GM on Monday (30/6/2014) afternoon 2.30pm to 4.30pm. This GM is to prepare for the school commemoration parade of St John Day on Tuesday 1 July 2014.

Change Of Attire For National Competition Training

On 23 June 2014, attire has been changed to Half Uniform. This includes your headdress. Gloves are not required.

As for 24 June 2014, attire has been changed to Full Brigade for training. Gloves and CPBS badges are not required.

The reason for this change is that International St John Day falls on 24 June 2014 and as such, we will be wearing our full uniform to commemorate this occasion. The school St John Day commemoration will be on 1 July 2014 (1st Tuesday when school re-opens).

National Competition Training (23/6 Mon and 24/6 Tue)

Below are the details of the national competition training for both days (23/6 and 24/6) for students involved in the National Competition in July.

Date: 23 June 2014 (Monday)

Venue: Anderson Secondary School

Time:1200-1700

Reporting attire: Full Uniform(Without CPBS badges, Gloves are required)

Instructions to cadets:

1. Only those going for national competition is required.

2. Bring a 1.5l ice mountain water bottle with you.

3. Make sure your brigade is up to standard.

4. Please have an early lunch before coming for training.
