Zone First Aid Competition 2018 (17/3/18)

Dear Competitors, Stewards and Helpers for the Zone First Aid Competition, here are the details for tomorrow.


Reporting Time: 6.30am

Attire:
Competitors and Stewards:
- Full Brigade Uniform without CPBS Badges and nametags

Helpers:
Sec 1s
- PT Kit

Sec 4s
- Full Brigade Uniform without CPBS Badges and nametags

Things to bring:
- Gloves and ranks (for Competitors and Stewards)
- Extra set of unwanted clothes (T-shirt and shorts for Sec 4 helpers)



A one-way bus will bring you to Ngee Ann Polytechnic at 7am. Please make sure that all of you are ready by 7am to board the bus.

Please take note that the school will only be open at 6.30am. Hence, please do not come before 6.30am due to safety reasons.

The competition will end around 6pm, depending on the progress of it. Dismissal will be at at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, School of Health Sciences.

Ex-NCO 2018 IT Youth Award Winner and Entrepeneur Liu Lung Hao

Dear cadets,

One of our ex-Andersonian NCO and regular volunteer for our CCA Liu Lung Hao has been awarded IT Youth of the Year Award Award.

Lung Hao is the ex-NCO who designed and created this SJAB blog in 2012 before he graduated. This included the design, linking the blog to the Facebook account and creating a Documents Folder that is pegged to his Microsoft account so that we can upload many important information for cadets.

Lung Hao has also been a role model cadet and ex-NCO for his dedication and commitment, amid his busy schedule serving NS and running his company Freezmodo. I am sure many batches of current cadets, NCOs and past NCOs have positive encounters with him too.

We are proud and congratulate him for his outstanding achievement. He is an inspiration who displayed all the 4 ANDE values.

NCOC Theory and Training Dates June 2018

Dear cadets of all levels,

The HQ has just updated the tentative dates for Non Commissioned Officers Course (NCOC). As announced start of the year, our zone 3 has merged with zone 4 with effect from 2018. This will be a temporary merger before a major HQ restructuring in 2020.

In view of this merger, FA Com and NCOC will be a joint venture between zone 3 and 4.

There are some major changes for this year. NCOC will involve all levels. Basic Leadership Training Course (BLTC) will be for Sec 1s and 2s. Advanced Leadership Training Course (ALTC) will be for Sec 3s. 

The NCOC dates for BLTC and ALTC are as tentatively confirmed. These dates are useful for your planning of family holiday:

Theory Course Day 1: 19 May (Sat)
Theory Course Day 2: 26 May (Sat)
Camp: 2 to 4 June 2018 (Sat to Mon)

Please try to keep these dates available. Sec 3s also take note that you have compulsory school extra June curriculum lessons from 30 May (Wed) to 5 Jun (Tue).

Please note that the Zone competition briefing scheduled on 10 March morning has been cancelled. The briefing slides will instead be given. I have posted the briefing slides in the blog documents folder on the left. Please read through them.

The FA Com will be held on 17 Mar in Ngee Ann Poly. Meeting place will still be in Anderson Sec at 6.50am. A one way bus will bring you to Ngee Ann Poly.
