Updated Details of the Siem Reap Overseas Trip 3rd to 8th December
This is an update of the Siem Reap overseas trip from 3rd December to 8 December. The trip details are finally confirmed. The Silkair flights are all fully booked after NATAS Fair. However we have managed to keep a 6 days programme and fly by another Skytrax 5 Stars Best Airline Malaysian Airlines. We will also taking their latest Boeing 737-800 series plane from KL to Siem Reap. The food is good too. The plane will transit at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Thus most of you can re-live your memories of Sec 2 Sabbatical in Malaysia not too long ago. Details are as follows:
Flight Schedule:
Day 1
3 December (Tuesday): MH602 6.45am to 7.45am (Singapore to Kuala Lumpur)
3 December (Tuesday): MH764 10.55am to 12pm (Kuala Lumpur to Siem Reap)
Day 6
8 December (Sunday): MH765 12.55pm to 4.05pm (Siem Reap to Kuala Lumpur)
8 December (Sunday): MH613 5.30pm to 6.25pm (Kuala Lumpur to Singapore)
The hotel has also been upgraded to 4 stars. We will be staying in Dara Reang Sey Hotel in Siem Reap. In terms of rooming, we will try to have a mixture of twin sharing and triple sharing depending on the boy-girl ratio. Cause I believe you will prefer to be in triple sharing than to share with a students from another CCA. Most of you will be in twin sharing to allow you to have more time to bath after CIP.
Meeting Day: 3 December (Tuesday)
Venue: Malaysian Airlines Counter Terminal 2 Changi Airport
Time: 4.30am
We also have a great programme line up. Do give us a few more days to work out some minor parts. We are also expecting a cool weather there of around 26 degrees on day time and 19 degrees at night. I will also be flying there 2 days after your NCOC camp in September to check out the place. Our agent for this trip will be Chan Brothers Pte Ltd.
The cost will be $950. This amount includes the deposit you have given me so far. There will be additional $100 off for every Singaporean regardless due to our CAA Gold. Thus most of you will be paying $850 max for the trip. As all of you will have given me different amounts of money as deposit. Thus I will message you today how much you need to pay on top of the deposit. Cheques will be addressed to Anderson Secondary School. You need to pass the remaining amount in cheque or cash, and your photocopy passport preferably by this Friday 30 August. For photocopy passport collection, please ensure that they are at least 6 months before expiry. Singaporeans and Malaysians do not need VISA for this trip. The rest do. For students who need VISA, I will be approaching you this week to collect your passport too.
There will be 2 pre-trip briefings. The first will be on Term 4 Week 1. We will confirm the day next week. The first briefing will be to a general briefing on packing list and safety. The second one will be on the service learning project. In meantime, you can focus on your NCOC or upcoming exams. I look forward to bringing you to Cambodia in 3 months time.
Thank you

Sec 2 Cadets Cookery course
I have informed Mrs Kumar so for those who need to put their ingredients in fridge of the home econs room, the door should be open in the morning. Please put ingredients like fresh meat products and those which may spoil easily as you would not want your ingredients to go to waste and have nothing to cook for the assessment tomorrow.
Thanks

Enrolment Parade Celebration
Dear sec twos,
As you know the sec one enrolment parade is on 21 August, next wednesday. After the parade, we will be having a celebration for the sec ones.
For the celebration, i need you guys to buy snacks and drinks. Can you guys (just the sec two platoon) bring 15 1.5l bottled drinks, they can be any soft drinks. For the snacks, please decide on how many packets you want. I suggest buying bigger packets like those big party packages with smaller packs inside, so that you can share with your sec ones. If you want to buy more, you can go ahead. I appoint Min Jun as the i/c to decide how many packets of snacks are needed and how your platoon wants to split up the job.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend and study hard for CA2.
Thanks
Amadeus
