Dear students who signed up for the Siem Reap Overseas Trip,
We have received final confirmation from our vendor. Due to inability to secure air tickets from both Silkair and Malaysia Airlines, we regret to inform you that we have to cancel the trip to Siem Reap. We have explored all options to continue the trip but was not successful.
All the cheques and cash has not been banked in yet. We will proceed with the refund shortly. With regards to whether we are still having a overseas trip, we will reach a decision within the next 24 hours. A few key considerations will be whether it is still possible to get air tickets in September and whether we can get still a meaningful experience out of it that is uniquely SJAB experience.
In the meantime, it will be great if I can get your feedback maybe by sms or if you happen to see me in school whether:
1. You prefer to cancel the trip.
2. We proceed to Malaysia to visit SJAB by bus. It will cost much less (below $350) and is certain to have no problems getting seats.
3. We proceed to an area in Southwest China that I know has many CIP opportunities but will cost around $1300. It is a wartime capital of China in 1937. No guarantee of air tickets at the moment.
