With regards to World Water Day, here are further updates. PUB has confirmed more specs for the washing machine. The following logos and words have to be added onto the montage:
- Singapore World Water Day logo and the theme make every drop count.
- Anderson Secondary School badge if possible and name
- Anderson St John Brigade logo and name
- PUB logo
- Machine at full load wording.
The cardboard washing machines should arrive by next Friday. The timeline will be:
15 Feb: Green Club, Basketball and volunteers fold the thousands of clothes collected.
By 19 Feb: Submission of Washing Machine design for PUB to approve
19 Feb: A few cadets will be deployed to add first layer of acrylic paint to each of the card boards
24 Feb: All Sec 2s and 3s put motif on cardboard and paint cardboard
The 4th March Friday programme for setting up is as follows at Bishan Park:
8am to 11am: School cross country
11am to 11.45am: Quick brunch for students and bus to ferry them back to Anderson Sec
11.45am to 12.45pm: Load clothes from Anderson Sec to lorry/ van.
12.50pm to 1.20pm: Bus ferry students back to Bishan Park
1.20pm to 2pm: Set up the washing machine.
The reporting time for 5th March Saturday will be 7.50am in full brigade. The pinning of clothes by the minister will be at 9.30am.
